About Di Meo's
Di Meo's has been making Italian gelato since 1918, and its signature vanilla is produced to a secret family recipe over a hundred years old. Alongside gelato and sorbetto it offers pizza and coffee. Ingredients are carefully sourced, including 100% pure Bronte pistachios from the slopes of Sicily's Mount Etna and strawberry gelato made with at least 50% fruit. Several flavours have won gold medals in national ice cream competitions and carry Great Taste Award recognition. Its riverside parlour on Riverside Walk in Ouseburn sits alongside further locations in Whitley Bay and North Shields, and the business also provides catering for events and special occasions.
