Donald Gilberts of Gosforth is a traditional butcher based at Unit 18, Gosforth Central Shopping Centre. The shop supplies rare breed pork, beef and lamb, free range chicken, seasonal game and Scottish venison, and is well regarded locally for its steak pies, sausages and Christmas turkeys. It will also take orders for special cuts. The butcher is open Monday to Saturday from 7:30am to 5pm and is closed on Sundays. A long-standing fixture of the shopping centre, it can be contacted by phone for orders and enquiries.
