Florence Jesmond at 15 Osborne Road holds its own on one of the North East's most competitive restaurant strips through a commitment to genuine Italian dining that goes beyond the usual pizza-and-pasta formula. Previously known as Antico Restaurant, the venue underwent a complete refurbishment at the end of Summer 2022, emerging with a new name, a refreshed interior, and a sharpened focus on authenticity, aiming to deliver the kind of Italian dining you might find in Italy itself. Its most distinctive feature is an exclusively Italian wine list, on the philosophy that only Italian wine truly complements Italian food. Traditional dishes sit alongside more contemporary preparations, all built on quality ingredients and proper technique.
