About Koru

Koru is a charming independent cafe and artisan pizzeria tucked away on Salters Road, just off the High Street — a mindful venue that doubles as a daytime hangout and an evening restaurant. Founded in 2020, it has quietly built a loyal following that appreciates its unique character. The interior is filled with plants and mismatched furniture, giving a relaxed, bohemian warmth, with roughly 95% of the furnishings, fittings, and decor upcycled, reflecting a genuine focus on nature and sustainability. By day it serves single-origin coffee, artisan cakes, and light lunch options in a peaceful setting away from the High Street bustle. By evening the focus shifts to creative, freshly made pizzas that go beyond the usual margherita-and-pepperoni formula, with a BYO policy (small corkage charge) that keeps the bill low. There's a dedicated kids' menu, and vegetarian, vegan, and non-gluten options throughout. Open Tuesday to Sunday, midday until 10pm.
