Pique is a South American restaurant, cafe, and bar from the creators of Gosforth Traders, set inside the Gosforth Central development on St Nicholas Avenue, just off the High Street. Its stylish, contemporary interior feels distinct from the area's more traditional restaurants and has drawn particular praise from early visitors. Tacos are the headline act, but the ceviche, steaks, and Latin American brunch dishes all deserve attention, while the cocktail menu is built around tequila, mezcal, and pisco, with the margaritas regularly singled out as among the best in the area.
