About Thorpes of Gosforth
Thorpes at 110-112 High Street is a third-generation family hardware business, trading since 1947. This is a proper old-school hardware shop — the kind of place where the staff can find the exact screw, bracket, or obscure fitting that you've spent three hours failing to find online. They specialise in locating hard-to-find items, and the range of traditional hardware products is impressive. One of the last independent hardware shops of its kind in Newcastle, and long may it continue.
