About This Event

This members-only evening run by the Natural History Society of Northumbria begins with refreshments and a short talk on badger ecology in the Field Studies Room, before a guided walk out to a purpose-built viewing platform deep in the reserve. Badgers are notoriously shy, so the group stays quiet and still as dusk falls and the animals emerge to forage. Bring warm layers and sturdy footwear, and note the walk involves uneven ground in low light.
