About This Event

An evening visit to one of Gosforth Nature Reserve's hidden badger setts, led by experienced NHSN naturalists. The reserve — the oldest nature reserve in North East England — has a thriving badger population that's rarely seen during daylight hours. Participants gather at dusk and walk quietly to a viewing spot near an active sett. With patience and silence, you'll watch badgers emerge for their evening foraging. The guides provide insight into badger behaviour, social structure, and how the reserve manages habitat to support them. This is a members-only event. Wear dark, quiet clothing and bring binoculars if you have them. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
