About This Event

Part of the Gosforth's Wild Web community wildlife recording project, this informal walk explores Havannah Nature Reserve's grasslands and woodlands in search of ladybird species. Led by naturalists Matthew Harrison and Evie Longhorn, participants use sweep nets (provided) to find and identify ladybirds in their natural habitats. Suitable for all ages and experience levels — no prior recording experience needed. It's a brilliant introduction to citizen science for families, and your sightings contribute to real biodiversity data for the Gosforth area. Bring weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear for uneven paths.
