Guided reserve walk exploring the folklore of herons, owls, swans, crows, curlews and geese, with a Myth Explorer sheet for children.
About This Event
A one-hour guided walk at WWT Washington, starting from the Picture Window at 11am, exploring the stories and beliefs inspired by wetland birds including herons, owls, swans, crows, curlews and geese. The route heads towards Wader Lake with folklore, wildlife facts and interactive activities, and children get a Wetland Myth Explorer Sheet. It follows accessible level paths with rest stops and suits visitors of all ages.
