About This Event

The Natural History Society of Northumbria runs this informal guided walk around the reedbeds and ponds of Gosforth Nature Reserve as the light fades, looking for bittern, water rail, kingfisher, Cetti's warbler and snipe. The flat circular route of one to two miles starts and ends at the reserve entrance on boardwalk, gravel and uneven woodland paths that can be slippery after rain. It suits beginners and enthusiasts, an accessible toilet is available at the Field Studies Room, and places must be booked through Eventbrite.
