Best Estate Agents in Gosforth

Bradley Hall at 120 High Street offers the broadest range of services on the High Street. As well as residential sales and lettings, they handle commercial property, RICS-accredited building surveys and valuations, planning, and property auctions. Their valuations team received an Outstanding rating from RICS. Founded in 1988 and still independently owned, with around 100 property professionals across 12 offices.

Best for: Full-service property needs, RICS surveys, commercial property.

Pattinson

Pattinson at 210 High Street is the North East's largest family-owned independent estate agency — founded on 4 July 1977, with independence deliberately at the heart of the business. They now have 26 offices and over 250 staff across the region. The Gosforth branch offers residential sales, lettings, in-house mortgage advice, conveyancing, and surveying, all under one roof.

Best for: One-stop shop, large independent with regional reach.

Andrew Craig

Andrew Craig at 171 High Street is another family-run firm, now in its second generation. Founded in 1990, they have 15 offices and over 80 team members across the North East. The Gosforth branch manager, Janet Richardson, has over 30 years of Newcastle estate agency experience. They offer access to over 12,000 mortgage products from 90+ lenders through their partnership with Mortgages Now.

Best for: Family-run feel, strong mortgage advice, experienced local team.

Pat Robson & Co.

Pat Robson at 2 Hawthorn Road is particularly strong on lettings and property management, looking after a portfolio of over 900 properties across the North East. They also handle sales and are ARLA Propertymark and NAEA members. Four branches — Gosforth, Jesmond (head office), Heaton, and the city centre.

Best for: Lettings and property management, landlord services.

Rook Matthews Sayer

Rook Matthews Sayer in Gosforth Shopping Centre claims to sell more homes in Newcastle and Northumberland than any other agency. Founded locally in 1990 and now part of the Connells Group, they have 16 branches across the region. The Gosforth office offers sales, lettings, mortgage services, conveyancing, and surveys.

Best for: Wide branch network, in-house mortgage and conveyancing.

Reeds Rains

Reeds Rains at 49 Great North Road operates under a national brand, but the Gosforth branch is franchise-operated by Dehaty Hardaker Estates, giving it a more personal feel. They won a Best Estate Agent Guide award for lettings excellence (2025–2026) and cover Gosforth, Great Park, Jesmond, and the city centre.

Best for: Award-winning lettings, franchise independence within a national brand.

Bridgfords

Bridgfords at 153 High Street is primarily a lettings and property management branch. Part of the Countrywide network, they have a 4.7 Google rating with over 100 five-star reviews. ARLA Propertymark accredited.

Best for: Lettings focus, national chain backing.

Jan Forster Estates

Jan Forster Estates at 29 Princes Road in Brunton Park has been a familiar local name since 2004. The business was restructured in late 2025 and is now operated by Dennison Property Services, focusing primarily on property management. They cover Gosforth, Brunton Park, Kingston Park, Melton Park, and the wider north Newcastle area.

Best for: Property management, Brunton Park and north Gosforth coverage.

How to Choose

Selling: Get three valuations. Sanderson Young, Bradley Hall, and Pattinson are a good spread of independent options. For properties over £850,000, Sanderson Young's Rare! division is the obvious specialist.

Letting: Pat Robson and Reeds Rains both have strong lettings track records. Bridgfords is worth considering if you want national chain infrastructure.

Buying: Start with Rightmove and Zoopla, but register with agents directly for early access to new listings. Most Gosforth agents will alert you to properties before they hit the portals.

Surveys: Bradley Hall is the only High Street agent with RICS-accredited in-house surveyors.
