New Monday-evening yoga classes start in Gosforth this autumn

There is a new option for yoga in Gosforth this autumn. Sand & Rox Yoga is running Hatha yoga classes on Monday evenings at Northern's McCracken Park pavilion on the Great North Road (NE3 2DT), with the new 14-week term starting on Monday 7 September.

There are two classes each Monday: an earlier session from 6:00 to 7:30pm with Roxana, and a later one from 7:45 to 9:15pm with Sandra. Both are grounded in Hatha yoga, a slower, breath-led style that pairs gentle movement with proper relaxation, so it suits people who want to unwind at the end of the day rather than work up a sweat.

Classes are open to anyone over 18 of any fitness level, and posture modifications are offered throughout, so you can practise safely whether you are completely new to yoga or coming back to it after a break. The teacher is registered with the British Wheel of Yoga.

Best for: New students can try a free introductory class before signing up, so there is no cost to see whether it suits you.

After the taster, you can pay as you go at £11 per class, or book the full autumn term (7 September to 7 December) for £112. There is free parking at McCracken Park, which is a short walk from Gosforth High Street and well served by buses along the Great North Road.
