Spotlight: Tumble Tots Newcastle
Active play classes for 6 months to school age at McCracken Park in Gosforth — developing physical, cognitive, and social skills through colourful bespoke equipment.
Those early years between crawling and starting school are when children develop fundamental movement skills — and Tumble Tots Newcastle has been helping them do exactly that through structured active play sessions at McCracken Park in Gosforth.
How it works
Classes use brightly coloured bespoke wooden, foam, and handheld equipment, with each piece specifically designed to aid a different aspect of children's development. Through climbing, balancing, rolling, and jumping, children develop physical coordination, cognitive skills, and social confidence in a safe, supportive environment.
Age groups
Sessions are carefully divided by developmental stage:
- 6 months to walking (6-15 months)
- Walking to 2 years (14 months to 2 years 4 months)
- 2-3 years (2 years 3 months to 3 years)
- 3 years to school age (3-5 years)
Where and when
Classes run during term-time on Wednesdays and Thursdays in the McCracken Suite at Northern Football Club, Great North Road, Gosforth (NE3 2DT). Free parking is available at the venue.
