Cake Stories has become a Gosforth institution since opening on the High Street. Known primarily for their show-stopping celebration cakes — from elegant wedding cakes to elaborate children's birthday creations — they're also a brilliant cafe for brunch, lunch, and afternoon tea. The display counter is always piled high with fresh croissants, brownies, and seasonal pastries. Their brunch menu (including excellent eggs Benedict and fluffy pancakes) draws queues at weekends. For celebrations, order well in advance — their cakes are in high demand. They also supply cream teas for local events.
