About Exhibition Park Skatepark

Exhibition Park Skatepark is Newcastle's main outdoor skatepark, opened in 2004 in Exhibition Park off Park Terrace. Built entirely in concrete, it combines a transition area of two linked bowls, divided by a teardrop spine, with the shallower section around 4ft deep and the deeper bowl around 8ft. Alongside the bowls is a large street section, roughly 27m by 18.5m, featuring 3ft transitions on three sides, hips, roll-in flatbanks and a central funbox with steps, blocks and ledges. It offers something for both transition and street skaters, is free to use with open public access, and welcomes skateboarders, BMX and scooter riders.
