About Gosforth Junior High Academy

Gosforth Junior High Academy is a middle school on Regent Avenue in Gosforth, teaching pupils aged 9 to 13 across Years 5 to 8. Deemed a secondary school, it is part of the Gosforth Group, the family of schools operated by the Gosforth Federated Academies trust, which it joined in 2011. The academy describes itself as forward-thinking and inclusive, and provides a bridge between first-school and senior-school education for children in the surrounding area. Its most recent Ofsted inspection, in November 2023, rated the school Good. The school offers a broad curriculum alongside pastoral support and extra-curricular opportunities.
