About Gosforth Academy
Gosforth Academy is the main secondary school serving the Gosforth area, educating students from age 13 to 18 (years 9-13 in Newcastle's three-tier system). Rated 'Good' by Ofsted, the academy offers a broad curriculum with particular strengths in science, languages, and the arts. The sixth form is well-regarded, with strong A-level results and good university progression rates. An extensive extracurricular programme includes sport, drama, music, Duke of Edinburgh, and numerous clubs and societies. The school has a large, modern campus on the Great North Road.
