About Hopscotch Play Cafe
Hopscotch Play Cafe opened in September 2023 in a completely rebuilt former bank on the High Street at 117-119 and has quickly become one of Gosforth's most popular family venues. Five play zones cater for ages 0-12, and the cafe is a genuine draw in its own right, good coffee from Morpeth roasters, homemade cakes, and a fully licensed bar (yes, you can have a cocktail while the kids climb). Sessions last up to 1 hour 45 minutes. Walk-ins are welcome but booking online is strongly recommended, especially at weekends. A second location opened at Fenwick Newcastle in November 2025.
