About Ouseburn Farm

Ouseburn Farm is a working community-led city farm in the Ouseburn Valley, just a mile from Newcastle city centre and about a fifteen-minute drive from Gosforth or reachable by bus. It welcomes over 40,000 visitors a year and is completely free to enter. A purpose-built barn and surrounding fields are home to sheep, goats, pigs, and chickens, with a small animal room housing rabbits and guinea pigs, plus reptiles for an unexpected element; during lambing season, ticketed lamb feeding sessions are among the few paid activities. Beyond the animals there is an orchard, a community garden, and nature activities, along with seasonal events throughout the year including Easter activities, summer open days, and Christmas events. An on-site cafe serves hot drinks, light bites, and homemade cakes. Located on Ouseburn Road (NE1 2PA), it is family-friendly and accessible for pushchairs and wheelchairs.
