About Pets Corner at Jesmond Dene

Pets' Corner is a free community animal attraction in Jesmond Dene, run by Newcastle City Council with staff and volunteers and operating since the 1960s. It is home to goats, sheep, pigs, rabbits, guinea pigs, ducks, chickens and other birds, with some animals rehomed from sources such as the RSPCA. Entry is free and the attraction relies on donations to cover its running costs. Walkways are accessible for wheelchairs and prams, and nearby facilities at the Visitor Centre include a café, public toilets and a picnic area with seating. The nearest Metro stations are Jesmond and West Jesmond, with parking along the Red Walk.
