About Pizza Dough Co, The Playhouse
Pizza Dough Co at the Three Mile on Great North Road is a bold New York-style pizza restaurant with 12-inch artisan bases fired at 400 degrees. The dough is double-fermented for 20 hours before toppings are added fresh, then cooked in a wood-fired oven. The result is a charred crust with proper chew and bold flavours. The menu goes beyond the classics, with creative options alongside traditional favourites. The Feed the Family deal, two regular pizzas, two kids' pizzas, and four soft drinks for £25 (Monday-Thursday from 4pm), is outstanding value, and kids eat for £1 during school holidays. There's also a soft play area (The Playhouse) and a solid cocktail menu.
