The Job Bulman
Traditional Wetherspoons pub in a converted former council building. Affordable food and drinks in a spacious setting with a large beer garden.
About The Job Bulman
The Job Bulman is Gosforth's Wetherspoons, set in a handsome former council building on St Nicholas Avenue just off the High Street. Dating from 1928, the building served Gosforth and district for over fifty years before its conversion, and its original features give the interior a sense of scale most chain pubs lack. It is named after Job Bulman, a respected doctor who returned from India at the end of the eighteenth century, built the now-demolished Coxlodge Hall, and sold plots along the High Street. The real ale offering goes beyond the usual core range, with up to six guest beers regularly available from North East breweries, backed by Cask Marque and LocAle accreditation. Affordable Wetherspoons food is served from 8am daily. The large beer garden, one of the biggest in Gosforth, fills quickly on sunny days, and a raised family area provides space for those with children.
