About Water Babies Gosforth
Water Babies Gosforth introduces babies to swimming from birth, using the heated indoor pool at The Grand Hotel in High Gosforth Park, a warm and comfortable environment for young swimmers. Parents and babies are in the water together with the teacher, and classes have a maximum of ten babies, with skills taught gently through song, play and repetition at each child's own pace. Teachers are trained to the highest standard through Swim England, exclusively holding the Level 3 Teaching Pre-School Swimming (Advanced) qualification, the highest available for the pre-school age group. Babies can start straight from birth if medically fit, and the programme progresses through developmental stages, with children aged 4 and above swimming more independently as they collect Water Babies Treasures. The Gosforth Park location suits families across Gosforth and North Newcastle; classes are popular, so booking ahead is recommended.
