Summer Bluegrass/Country Special: Big Red & The Grinners + Good Guy Hank
Live bluegrass and country music night featuring Big Red & The Grinners plus Good Guy Hank. A foot-stomping summer special.
About This Event
Big Red & The Grinners are one of the North East's most notorious live bands, led by frontman Paul 'Big Red' Randall. Featuring banjo, accordion, double bass, acoustic guitars, and percussion, they move seamlessly from bluegrass classics and Jay Z covers to a hilarious rendition of Paradise City, all delivered with infectious energy and plenty of 'Yee Haws'. Support comes from Good Guy Hank, a trio blending blistering bluegrass guitar, lightning mandolin, virtuoso fiddle, and three-part harmonies. With members from Scotland and Melbourne, they draw on influences from Hank Williams to Gillian Welch. A foot-stomping double bill perfect for a summer evening at the Civic.
