NE1's Screen on the Green returns to Old Eldon Square, transforming the heart of Newcastle city centre into a free open-air cinema for the summer. From 20 July to 31 August, the big screen shows a rolling programme of family favourites, classics and blockbusters, all completely free to watch, with the square's cafes and bars close by. One of the highlights of NE1's summer in the city, it's a relaxed, spontaneous way to catch a film in the sunshine, or a balmy Newcastle evening.
