The Town Moor
Over 1,000 acres of open grassland, bigger than New York's Central Park and almost three times the size of Hyde Park. Home to grazing cattle, the Hoppings fair, and endless walking and running routes.
The Hoppings, Europe's largest travelling fair, arrives each June.
The Grove
A much-loved green space on the edge of the Town Moor. Mature trees, wildflower areas, and a peaceful atmosphere. Maintained by the dedicated Friends of the Grove volunteers.

Paddy Freeman's Park
Family favourite with a small lake, play areas, mini-golf, and easy access to Jesmond Dene. Perfect for a weekend morning with young children.

Gosforth Park Nature Reserve
A hidden gem managed by the Natural History Society of Northumbria. Ancient woodland, wetland, and a rich variety of birdlife just minutes from the High Street.
