St Charles Borromeo is Gosforth's Roman Catholic church, part of the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle. Mass times are Saturday Vigil at 5pm, Sunday at 9am, and weekday Mass Monday to Friday at 9:30am. Confessions are heard on Saturdays from 4:30pm to 4:55pm and on Sundays from 8:30am to 8:55am. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is available Monday to Friday at 8:45am. The church is closely linked to St Charles' Catholic Primary School, named Sunday Times North East Primary School of the Year in 2025.
