About Ouseburn Trust
Ouseburn Trust is an independent development trust and charity working to protect, promote and celebrate Newcastle's Ouseburn Valley and its community. It is best known for running tours of the Victoria Tunnel, a 19th-century underground coal waggonway later used as a Second World War air-raid shelter, offering guided tours of around 75 minutes or two hours several times a week, plus private group visits and a Virtual Victoria Tunnel Experience. The Trust also hosts a Saturday-morning guided Ouseburn Valley walk, brewery and pub tours, seasonal walks, talks and events, and Tipple in the Tunnel evenings combining a heritage tour with a guided wine tasting. Its work supports a vibrant, diverse and sustainable future for the valley.
