About All Saints Church Gosforth
All Saints Church is the oldest building in Gosforth, founded in the 1170s during the reign of Henry II. Grade I listed — the highest level of heritage protection in England — the church has been at the heart of the community for over 850 years. It is an active Anglican parish within the Diocese of Newcastle, with Sunday services at 8am, 9:30am, and 6:30pm. Beyond worship, All Saints hosts the popular monthly Gosforth Farmers Market, Little Saints toddler group on Tuesday afternoons, and the Sing at the Centre singing group. The peaceful churchyard, with its mature trees and centuries-old headstones, is one of the most tranquil spots in Gosforth.
