St Oswald's Hospice
Specialist palliative care hospice providing free inpatient, day, and community services for adults and children with life-limiting conditions across the North East.
About St Oswald's Hospice
St Oswald's Hospice has been at the heart of Gosforth since 1986, providing expert palliative care for adults and children with life-limiting conditions. The hospice offers a 15-bed adult inpatient unit, an 8-bedroom children's service, a purpose-built young adults facility, a day hospice (Focus on Living Centre), the North East's largest specialist lymphoedema service, and community outreach. All services are completely free. The hospice needs to raise over seven million pounds a year through charitable giving, supported by more than 950 volunteers and over 20 charity shops across the region. In 2026 the hospice celebrates its 40th anniversary with a Peter Rabbit sculpture trail across Tyneside.
