About The Brandling Arms
A Gosforth High Street institution since the 1920s, the Brandling Arms is thought to have once been a stable house for the wealthy Brandling family. Today it's a stylish, well-run pub at 176 High Street, serving British classics, sharing platters, and a proper Sunday roast. The drinks list covers cask ales, craft beers, wines, and cocktails. The spacious beer garden comes into its own in summer, and the Wednesday quiz night (8pm, £2 per person, £60 bar tab for the winners) is one of the most popular in Gosforth. There's also a private function room for up to 50 guests, and the pub is super dog-friendly with blankets, treats, and water bowls provided.
